Child and Teen Well-Care Visits
Why is it important for children and teens to go to well-care visits?
Well-care visits help track your child and teen’s growth, development, and overall health. They also catch problems early and keep vaccinations up to date.
What should doctors do during child and teen well-care visits?
During your child's well-care visits, doctors check physical and mental development, give vaccines, and talk with families about health, safety, and behavior. During your teen's well-care visits, doctors check physical and emotional development, give needed vaccines, and talk about safety, nutrition, and mental health.
What do the stars mean?
The scores show how well each health plan did at making sure children and teens 3 to 21 years of age had at least one comprehensive well-care visit with their doctor (PCP/OB-GYN) during the past year. A higher score means more children got the right care at the right time. The scores are based on information from at least 30 medical group patient records in 2024.
