Getting Care Easily Summary 2022-23 Edition

Why is it important to be able to get care easily?

Getting the right care at the right time is an important aspect of high quality health care. Highly rated Health Plans make sure you get to see your primary care doctor and specialists when care is needed, especially when you have an urgent problem. You should also get tests and other treatment in a timely manner. Top plans make it easy to see your primary care doctor or specialists and get the needed care and treatment.

Their doctors also take the time to discuss your health and give you recommendations on what to do to take care of yourself.

Plans in California have time requirements for making appointments for their patients. You can find more information about these requirements for providing patient appointments for routine and urgent care in California here.

What do the scores mean?

The stars tell you how successful each health plan was at helping patients to get the care they needed when they needed it during 2021. More stars are better.
